Companion Care Veterinary Clinic is a small animal exclusive practice located in south Overland Park. We opened our hospital in June 2019 and have been building clients and staff ever since. Our facilities include a surgery suite, radiology suite, in-house laboratory, modern treatment area, and canine and feline-specific exam rooms and boarding spaces.
Certified Veterinary Technician
We are looking to increase our clinical prowess by adding a certified veterinary technician to assist with the caseload of two doctors. We would like to find an individual with clinical experience and one with a desire to work towards a level of proficiency that allows for independent task management and completion of our established standard of care. We pride ourselves on being a clinic that provides and thrives on good communication as a basis for patient care as well as efficient work between the clinic staff.
Our clinic is a paper-free practice that uses cloud-based software. Although some learning of the software’s specific workflow is required, basic computer skills are sufficient. We are interested in individuals that are driven to improve their technical skills for both medical and surgical appointments as well as completing patient orders by utilizing the in-house diagnostics.
In addition to medical and surgical care for both canine and feline patients, our practice offers wellness visits, boarding, and daycare services. Any applicant would be required to assist in all facets of clinical care based on patient load.
We pride ourselves on having a clinical environment that allows individuals to showcase their skillset while also being receptive to providing opportunities for staff to gain experience on a daily basis. While we are looking for a new staff member that has previous experience, we are interested in any individual that wants to improve their skills in veterinary medicine.

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
We are looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills and the willingness to learn a cloud-based software system that will support our paper-free veterinary medical records. Previous experience in this field is not necessary but individuals will need to be able to facilitate appointment scheduling, client communication in person and over the phone, and following a protocol to run in-house diagnostic samples.
Although this position will be predominantly customer service and clerical task-based, the need may arise for the person(s) in this position to assist with animal handling and general care (feeding/watering/walking/etc).
